Stephen Colbert made no more of a mockery of Congress than Congress has of itself. Except he was honest while doing it.
There are obviously jokes spread throughout, but the last two minutes of Colbert's statement are as straightforward an assessment of reality as any member of the House or the Senate has lied about giving in years.
